Will the killer of Missy Bevers ever been found?

Terri 'Missy' Bevers was brutally murdered on 18th April 2016 in Midlothian, Texas, United States. It is almost 2 years later and still the murderer has not been found. Will they ever be found?

What happened to Missy

Missy Bevers who was just 45 years old was found dead with multiple puncture wounds to her head and chest at Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian. She was there to set up her exercise class at around 5am 18th April 2016. CCTV Footage showed a suspect dressed in a helmet, gloves and a vest with 'Police' written across it, walking through the church and carrying tools that were consistent with the injuries that Missy had suffered.

The suspect was first noticed at 3:50am breaking into the church and walking around the closed building. They were carrying a hammer in their left hand. While the suspect walks around the empty church in a rather disturbing manner they opened doors and checked locks and even broke a couple of windows. It is estimated that the suspect is between 5'2" and 5'7". The gender of the suspect is unknown but i feel like this may have been carried out by a male.

The CCTV also captured Missy arriving the church at 4:20am. The suspect is seen shortly before Missy arrives but disappears off screen. At 5:06am one of Missy's students frantically dialled 911 after she had discovered Missy and that she had been brutally attacked. The student described Missy as unresponsive and having puncture wounds to her head and chest.

Not long after and the police had released reference to 'ongoing martial struggle' within the home of Missy and her family. Search warrants revealed police allegations of 'flirtatious and familiar' messages sent between Missy and an unnamed individual. The publics opinion focused upon Missy's husband and his family. Police have made a point to say that Missy's family is not the focus of the investigation and that they are examining her murder as an un-targeted type of hit.

'I think it was a woman,' 'I still think whoever this person was knew my wife and had a motive.'

'There's no reason why an individual would break into a church, dressed in that type of clothing and stage a robbery, or what would appear to be a robbery – going through the building, breaking glass and opening doors.

'If that person was really there to commit a robbery, why did they kill my wife and leave her wedding ring on her finger?'

Unanswered Questions

Why was the suspect dressed in police gear?

Was the suspect aware of the CCTV cameras?

Did they go there specifically to kill Missy?

Did the suspect have knowledge of Missy's schedule?

Was this just a case of Missy being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Summary

As there is CCTV footage of the suspect i hope that soon the police get a lead that will give them the killer. I pray for Missy's family and especially for her children that justice is soon found for them all. This was a tragic murder and the family need closure.
