Lisa's disappearance

Lisa's father Jeremy Irwin discovered that Lisa was missing at around 4am on Tuesday 4th October 2011. According to Lisa's mother Deborah, Lisa had been in her bed when she checked on her at 6.40pm Monday night but when Jeremy came home he found 'many lights were on, a window was open and the front door was unlocked'. Later the family told police that several cellphones were also missing. During the investigation, two witnesses claimed to have seen a man walking down the street with a baby. Police were able to find and question a man matching the description that one of the witnesses had provided but the other witness says his photo does not match the man they saw.

On 19th October 2011 a search was carried out in the Irwin home and court documents showed that a cadaver dog turned up a scent of a dead body near the Deborah's bed. Items that were removed from the home at the time the warrant was executed included a multicoloured comforter, purple shorts and multicoloured Disney character shirt, a glo worm toy, a car's themed blanket, rolls of tape and a tape dispenser. Deborah said the police had accused her of being involved in Lisa's disappearance telling her 'you did it, you did it, and we have nothing' and claimed that she had failed a lie detector test.

The missing cellphones were pinged close to the Irwin home and were accessed throughout the night Lisa went missing. Burnt baby clothes were found inside a neighbourhood dumpster. The police have received 573 tips regarding Lisa's disappearance. Lisa's parents have $100,000 reward to any information leading to finding Lisa. FOX4's Kathy Quinn had a interview with Deborah 6.5 years after Lisa went missing and this is what was said:

Kathy: Deborah, Where is she?

Deborah: I wish I knew the answer to that. I'd go get her myself.

Kathy: Your gut. Your gut?

Deborah: I do believe she's alive. I've never thought for a second anything otherwise. I hope she's still in the country and I hope that with this new age progression I think that she has to be in some sort of school and/or out in the public and with this new age progression I'm hoping that somebody will notice her and give us the tip we need to help get her home.

Anyone with information regarding Lisa's disappearance is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477. There is a $100,000 reward for her safe return.
